This coaching staff has produced 50 state champions, 2 state team titles and 2 runner up teams in the past 8 years. 

Coaches:

Amondre Johnson (Jumps, Sprints, Strength Coach) 
  In his 5th year coaching T&F, Coach Johnson also serves as the Head Football Coach. He previously coached at Colleton County. Coach Johnson had a state qualifier in the long jump and a state champion in the 100 and 200. He teaches social studies at Waccamaw High School.              
              
John Jones (Pole Vault)
  In his 5th year with the T&F program, Waccamaw is lucky to have Coach Jones. A few of his accolades include: National coach of the year and a member of the South Carolina Coaches Hall of Fame. Coach Jones has over 40 years of experience. He has won 5 boy's state titles and coached hundreds of individual champions at Spring Valley, where he started the Bojangles Classic which is one of the biggest meets on the Southeast Coast. He has also hosted the State Finals at Spring Valley for numerous years and served as President of the T&F Coaches Association. Coach Jones is also the Boy's XC coach here at Waccamaw High School.  

Bob Siembida (Pole Vault)
  Is in his 11th year of volunteering at WHS. His son competed in the hurdles at Waccamaw. Coach Seimbida also coaches XC in the fall has traveled the world, coaches every event, and is unselfishly there for the student-athletes of WHS.

Ricky Ferdon (Throws)    
Is in his 21st year assisting the students at WHS, Coach Ferdon also volunteers  as a football coach and is involved with the school's FCA program and can be seen supporting all of the students and extra-curriculars at WHS. 


James Propps (Throws)
   
Is in his 4th year assisting the throwers. Coach Propps has been instrumental in assisting with the throwers as four school records have been broken during his tenure at WHS. Coach Propps runs Challenge Cabinets and also threw javelin in college. 

Bill Peterman (Head Coach, Distance, Hurdles)
   Coaches art, teaches track and field at the high school and has coached for 26 years at 5 different schools, in 2 different states, including Andrews, Georgetown, and Carvers Bay. He has coached 129 state champions and has been a part of 7 state championship teams, 6 in track and field, 1 in football. He has coached 6 state championship teams (3 boys, 3 girls). Coach Peterman was a sprinter for the Ohio State track & field team and also played wide receiver for the Buckeyes. He was a 3- time Big Ten champion while in college.
